Fragment of bobbin lace with inverted fan-shaped motif in scallop edge, Fragment of black bobbin lace: Chantilly lace. The fragment is elongated in shape, with a scalloped edge on one long side, the other sides are cut off irregularly. The repeating pattern consists of a diamond-shaped configuration of four rosette flowers, under which hangs a more or less fan-shaped motif. The successive impellers are connected by arcs with leaves. Under each arch there are four rosette flowers again, which form the suspension points of the continuous decorative band that also forms the shell edge.
