The advert explains with the viewer photographs ‘come to life’. View-Master is the trademark name of a line of special-format stereoscopes and View-Master ‘reels’, thin cardboard disks containing seven stereoscopic 3-D pairs of small colour transparencies. It was originally manufactured and sold by Sawyer's. Travel views predominated in the early reels. Most of today’s View-Master reels are aimed at children – vintage 1950s graphics for editorial use.
