The South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Corpus Christi features "Parrot Talk" every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 PM. The staff offers a variety of parrots for visitors to interact with in an informal and educational presentation. All of the animals on exhibit at the gardens come either from prior living situations or have been rescued in some way. The sleeve is primarily for the protection of the birds from possible toxins in skin care products such as sunscreen.
