Gustavianum is a historical building from 1620 with an anatomical theater constructed 1662-63 by Olof Rudbeck the elder. He was inspired by the anatomical theater in Leiden, Holland, with lot of daylights in the characteristic dome shaped "tower". The Uppsala Universitys collection«s are now a days in the Museum Gustavianum. Gustavianum is owned and managed by the National Property Board and is a national monument since 1935.
