RMT8MT0A–A Knight's Cross of the War Merit Cross with Swords The edges of this neck cross, struck in silver by the Deschler & Sohn firm in Munich, are polished to a high gloss with fineness punch '900' and a '10' situated in the lower cross arm. Because of the obvious Deschler production marks this example can be attributed to the early period of the award, before the assignment of the Presidential Chancellery number '1' to the Deschler firm. The cross arm surfaces with matte finish, the edges polished, the lower cross arm punched with the Presidential Chancellery number '1' and '900' mark of fineness.
