Victoria Cross to Mr and Mrs Williams for their son William Charles Williams, able Seaman, in the Royal Fleet Bedfordshire Regiment, who died before receiving the V.C. On the 16th November 1916, King George V presented the Victoria Crosses at Buckingham Palace to parents and next-of-kins of heroes who had won the decoration.
